Description
Assisting the Executive Chef:
The Executive Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning, recipe development, and overall kitchen operations.
Supervising Kitchen Staff:
They oversee and guide the work of other kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, cooks, and other culinary personnel.
Ensuring Quality and Standards:
This includes maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, enforcing quality control, and ensuring consistency in food preparation.
Inventory Management and Cost Control:
They may be involved in monitoring inventory, controlling costs, and optimizing kitchen efficiency.
Training and Development:
The Executive Sous Chef may be involved in training and mentoring kitchen staff, including line cooks and other junior personnel.
Operational Support:
They may assist with scheduling, ordering supplies, and other administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the kitchen.
Food Preparation:
They may be actively involved in food preparation, potentially filling in for other kitchen staff as needed.
