- Description
- The Cook/Kitchen Helper is responsible for handling and preparing foods according to sanitary regulations. The Cook/Kitchen Helper directs and maintains the kitchen in an organized manner in the absence of the Director of Dietary. The Cook/Kitchen Helper makes decisions regarding ordering foods, changes in menus and scheduling of employees if the situation arises and the Director of Dietary is not available. The Cook/Kitchen Helper works closely with and is accountable to the Director of Dietary. The Cook/Kitchen Helper supervises the kitchen and will be in regular contact with the entire staff at The Children’s Center of Hamden. The Cook/Kitchen Helper is expected to perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience: 1 year
- Bachelor degree
- Experience: 1 year and above
Secondary certificate
Ability to cook in large quantities with tight time schedules. Have knowledge of nutrition. Have interest in food service. Ability to work cooperatively with others and have considerable initiative and good judgment.
