Description: Customer service
Baristas are often the only person a customer interacts with, so they need to be able to educate customers, make recommendations, and handle complaints.
Preparing drinks
Baristas need to be knowledgeable about coffee beans, brewing techniques, and drink recipes. They should be able to prepare and serve coffee and other beverages quickly and efficiently, while meeting quality standards.
Operating equipment
Baristas need to be able to operate coffee machines and other equipment, and assess their condition.
Maintaining cleanliness
Baristas need to keep their work area clean and tidy, and follow health and safety guidelines.
Tracking inventory
Baristas may need to track inventory and order supplies.
Baristas may also work in restaurants or cafés, and may serve light snacks and meals in addition to coffee and other beverages.
