- A Senior Biomedical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards. They design, develop, and provide safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment. They may also work with scientists and specialists to research biological systems of humans and animals and apply that knowledge to new medical procedures and products. Other responsibilities may include developing medical devices and equipment, designing tools to assist surgeons, building equipment that can diagnose diseases, and educating patients and doctors about new medical technologies.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, biomedical science, or a related field.
Professional Licensed Engineer (P.E.) with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
Proven experience working within the field of biomedical engineering.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Great eye for design and the technical ability to transform designs into products.
Exceptional team-working and communication skills.
