A Medical Claims Administrator is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing medical insurance claims submitted by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and timely payment by carefully examining patient information, medical codes, and billing details while adhering to insurance regulations and company policies; they often communicate with providers and patients to resolve any claim discrepancies or issues.
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
A Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, accounting or related field is preferred
