As a Consultant in Internal Medicine – ICU Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will work closely with other medical professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Your expertise and proficiency in internal medicine will be crucial in managing and treating complex medical conditions in the ICU.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions and performing invasive procedures.
• Monitor and manage patients vital signs, oxygenation, and airway management.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and provide continuous care to patients.
• Conduct patient examinations, review medical history, and order diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
• Administer medications, monitor their effectiveness, and manage any potential side effects.
• Educate patients and their families about their medical condition, treatment options, and aftercare procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including progress notes, medication administration records, and discharge summaries.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in internal medicine and critical care to provide the best possible care to patients.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of medicine (MD) degree or a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree.
3 to 7 years’ internship and clinical residency training, specializing in internal medicine.
Successful completion of the Internal Medicine Certification Examination.
Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in internal medicine.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding research and analytical skills.
Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
