- Description
- Supporting and aiding our patients to walk, travel in a wheelchair, or stretcher to and from their hospital appointments, transfer from care home to care home or home to care home ensuring they are kept at ease whilst in your care. You will be driving a long wheelbase ambulance and will be required to clean it at the end of every shift.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides a quantitative and qualitative work ethic
• Maintains the vehicles to the required standard of maintenance
• Does not abuse or take advantage of sick or personal time
• Demonstrates consistent dependability in all assignments
• Conducts safety checks daily on all vehicles as assigned
• Always complies with the road transport regulations, signage and traffic conditions
- Requirements
- A clean driving record
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
