- Duties include taking medical histories, performing medical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and developing treatment plans. Dermatologist assistants educate patients on skin health and provide preventive services, such as skin cancer screenings.
- Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
Previous experience in a dermatology setting is highly preferred but not mandatory. New graduates with a strong interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
