- Key Responsibilities:
Sample Collection and Preparation:
Collect and prepare samples for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Process specimens following established protocols to maintain integrity.
Analytical Testing:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests using specialized equipment and techniques.
Analyze test results, interpret data, and document findings accurately.
Quality Assurance:
Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure the precision and reliability of test results.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments regularly.
Data Management:
Record and manage data using laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Prepare reports and assist in the preparation of scientific publications.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols to handle hazardous materials and ensure a safe working environment.
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure laboratory practices comply with relevant standards.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: A bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field is typically required.
Experience: Prior experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous, with familiarity in analytical techniques and laboratory equipment.
Skills:
