- Internists, also known as internal medicine physicians or doctors of internal medicine, employ non-surgical methods and procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions that affect their patients.
We are looking for a compassionate Internist to provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manage both common and complex diseases. You should be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment.
To be successful as an Internist you must be able to prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, and other non-surgical treatments. You should also be able to develop long-lasting, rewarding relationships with your patients.
Internal Medicine Doctor Job Duties
Internal medicine doctors typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
> Diagnosing and treating common illnesses such as colds, flu, infections, asthma, pneumonia, and diabetes
> Ordering and interpreting lab tests and other diagnostic tests to assess patient health status
> Recommending lifestyle changes that can help patients manage their conditions
> Counseling patients about disease prevention techniques such as diet, exercise, smoking cessation, contraceptive use, etc.
> Prescribing medications to treat acute or chronic conditions
> Providing primary care services to patients ranging from newborns to adults, including administering vaccinations and physical exams
> Establishing long-term relationships with patients to monitor their health needs over time
Performing medical procedures such as surgical operations or endoscopic procedures, as well as interpreting results
> Conducting research to develop new treatments for diseases or improve existing methods
- Requirements
- • Medical degree and specialization in Internal Medicine.
• Valid medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating internal medicine conditions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
