- responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems for various businesses or homes. Removing old systems, Installing new systems, Performing routine maintenance. maintaining and repairing of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilating, and heating systems in buildings.It also involves repairing and maintaining air filters, thermostats, bets, bearings, and blower fans.
- Requirements
- Work may require using ladders or scaffolding. The mechanic must assume awkward and cramped
positions to reach parts of the unit(s) during installation, servicing and maintenance.
Must work wherever the equipment/systems are located, on rooftops, outdoors, inside office
buildings or mechanical rooms
