- Description
- Responsibility starts from the time you receive the inquiry to the time you submit an offer to client until the final receipt and acceptance of goods by the client.
• Research potential vendors
• Sourcing, Purchasing and Procurement
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
• Preparing the inquiries, offers, invoices and packing list.
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Prepare cost analysis
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
• Coordinate with Logistic Department, Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Handles logistics for all inbound orders including verifying, coordinating, and reconciling all charges for Demurrage.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
• Updating database of clients, liaising with them to provide them with catalogues, promotional materials, samples, etc.
• Communicate and negotiate to every clients and supplier in terms of payment terms, delivery schedules.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple requirements, constraints and deadlines.
• Clarify queries and product specifications with vendors.
• Prepare comparison reports of bids received.
• Process payments to vendors.
• Prepares and process requisitions and purchase orders for all materials, supplies and equipment for the organization.
• Verify vendors invoicing is correct and matches negotiated pricing.
• Maintain and analyze purchasing data
- Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration or related fields are typically preferred)
At least three years of experience in a purchasing position
In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships
Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Office.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and respond to urgent matters.
Good documentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside of the company.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
