Description
JOB SUMMARY

To continuously monitor the adherence of the Housekeeping Contractor to both the International Standards of cleanliness and hygiene, with the ultimate aim of maintaining a safe, infection-free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 Checking certificates, competencies, and experience of assigned contractor and staff.

3.2 Validating the contractor’s competency and efficiency using clients’ reference checks.

3.3 Checking the timely on-site availability of contractor staff in the hospital as per the contract schedule.

3.4 Monthly reports to the Hospital Administrator, addressing:

3.4.1 Adherence of contractor to quality guidelines as agreed by the contractor.

3.4.2 Prompt response of contractors to all work orders made by end-users hospital-wide.

3.4.3 Performance indicators

3.4.3.1 Housekeeping tasks completion rate per month:

No. of incomplete housekeeping tasks x 100

Total no. of scheduled housekeeping tasks

3.4.3.2 Housekeeping work-related adverse incidents* per month

= No. of housekeeping work-related adverse incidents 100

• Adverse incidents: Instances of patient complaints breach of safety, security or hospital regulations, personal hygiene or behavior, indiscipline issues, and failure to follow orders or carry out duties.

3.5 Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.

3.6 Participates in management and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required.

3.7 Training and Development

3.7.1 Establishes an in-house training system that addresses company training needs.
Requirements
House Cleaner Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Proven experience house cleaning.
Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques.
The ability to follow instructions.
The ability to stand for long periods of time.
The ability to adapt to changing schedules.
Excellent customer service skills.
Punctual and reliable.
