Job Responsibilities

• Safe navigation and operation (day & night) of the yacht.
• Able to understand and use electronic equipment’s of the Yacht such as Raymarine, Garmin, Radio.
• Compute positions, set courses and determine speeds using charts, compasses, sextants, area plotting sheets and knowledge of local conditions.
• Dock and undock yacht, sometimes navigating through tight spaces.
• Plan roots and itineraries based on weather conditions to keep yacht, and everybody on yacht safe.
• Maintain Yacht Inspection Logbook prior and after each trip to ensure efficient and safe operation of yacht and equipments.
• Taking control of yacht repairs and and maintenance site visits, and follow up with Yacht issues related Contractors.
• Maintain weekly and monthly reports to the yacht owner about all onboard equipment, daily activities, yacht positions and movements, ports of call, weather conditions, passenger status and pollution control efforts.
• Yacht Budget management.
• Decision-making and crew management.
• Assuming the role of ‘host’ and entertaining when necessary.
• Ensure that the Yacht is well organized, clean and neat always.
• Instruct all new crewmembers in safety procedures.
• Direct supervisor for crew.
• Manage more than one boat for same owner.
• Using various ropes, knots.
