Description: Patrol the premises, monitor surveillance equipment, and inspect buildings and access points
Access: Control access to the site, verify identities, and issue and manage access badges
Incident response: Respond to alarms, investigate suspicious behavior, and take appropriate action in the event of an incident
Reporting: Complete reports of observations and incidents to aid in prosecution, insurance claims, security audits, and to assist employer in improving overall security measures
Security systems: Install security systems and controls
Compliance: Comply with safety instructions
Some skills and requirements for a security guard include:
Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
Registered as a security officer
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense

Requirements: A high school qualification or equivalent.
A qualification in security training.
Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.
Physical strength and fitness.
Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous.
Attention to detail.
