Description: Interpreting X-ray images to diagnose diseases and other medical conditions.
Performing radiographic exams and other imaging procedures.
Working with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Ordering and maintaining equipment, supplies and records.
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and radiation regulations.
Assessing, evaluating, and testing patients.
Preparing and positioning patients for imaging.
Attending to patient needs during imaging procedures.
Applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
Positioning and adjusting the X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
Developing and processing X-ray films or using digital imaging technology to produce images.
Reviewing images for clarity and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to the X-ray machine settings.
Monitoring patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions.

Requirements: Certification as a radiologic technologist from an accredited institution
National and local license to practice as a radiologic technologist within the country and locality of employment
In-depth knowledge of radiology protocols and imaging equipment
Ability to work with the general public and provide a high standard of patient care
Familiarity with radiology software
CPR certification
