Description: Imaging: Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body
Patient preparation: Explain the procedure to patients, answer their questions, and properly position them for imaging
Image review: Ensure images are of good quality and identify normal and abnormal results
Communication: Communicate results to physicians
Record keeping: Record findings and keep track of patients records
Laboratory operations: Maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, schedule patients, and report equipment failures
Quality assessment: Perform quality assessment
Medical ethics: Maintain a high standard of medical ethics

Requirements: An associates or bachelors degree in sonography.
An industry certification and state license may be advantageous.
Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
The ability to explain technical terms in a clear and understandable way.
Good eyesight and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills.
