- A Physiotherapist Assistant, also known as a Physical Therapy Assistant, works under the supervision of a Physiotherapist to provide physical therapy treatments to patients, assisting with assessments, implementing exercise plans, monitoring progress, and educating patients on recovery techniques to improve mobility and function following injury or illness; their primary responsibility is to help patients perform exercises and stretches as outlined by the physiotherapists treatment plan while closely observing and reporting on patient progress.

- Certification from a physical therapist assistant program.
Valid physical therapist assistant license.
A high school qualification or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move patients.
Computer literacy skills.
