Description: The Director of Pharmacy plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations within a healthcare organization. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing pharmacy staff, and optimizing pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers. The Director of Pharmacy collaborates with various departments and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy department.

Director of Pharmacy Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with federal and state regulations and industry standards.
-Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications, ensuring accurate inventory management, and safe medication practices.
-Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate medication therapy and promote medication safety.

Requirements: Proven work experience as a Radiology Technician or similar role
Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment
The physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiography is preferred
