Description
Ongoing evaluation of preferred PBM partnerships.
Trains clients and employees on pharmacy trends, cost containment, and clinical strategies.
Collaborates with Clinical Strategies Team in the development of client clinical analysis and tools.
Monitor pharmacy and medical utilization across a book of business.
Maintains relationships within the pharmaceutical industry.
Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Pharmacy function in collaboration with senior leadership
Presenting pharmacy strategy in sales finalist meetings for new business and retention of key clients.
Collaborate with clients on cost-effective/efficient plan designs and clinical solutions.
Serve as an expert for internal teams on pharmacy and PBM questions.
Oversee and review utilization and recommendations on leading-edge trends.
Lead industry benchmarks, and contract reviews and assist in requests for proposals.
Use data to forecast and create avoidance solutions.
Analyze data to enable visibility and transparency into pharmacy spending and trend drivers; Present results to clients.
Assists in the development of new reporting.
Provides Pharmacy consulting to clients concerning their employee benefit health and welfare plans; Responsible for presenting clinical data to clients.
Awareness of opportunities provided by emerging market conditions that impact client health and welfare plans from a cost and clinical perspective.
Provides timely, accurate, courteous, and appropriate responses to co-workers, clients, and vendors.
Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Current and active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge and experience with pharmacy operations, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.
