Description: designing and carrying out experiments, including tests on cells, animals and human volunteers
analysing and interpreting data (often using specialist computer applications)
making recommendations based on findings from research and experiments
laboratory and staff management
keeping up to date with research
carrying out research and writing papers for publication in specialist journals
collaborating with and sharing expertise and research findings with associated staff
attending meetings and conferences.

Requirements: A medical or doctoral degree.
A state license and certification to administer drugs to humans.
A strong working knowledge of mathematics and science.
The ability to gather, analyze, and understand medical data.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The ability to handle medical equipment and other machines used in research.
