Description: Research: Design and conduct experiments to understand how drugs work
Test drugs: Evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new drugs
Develop treatments: Create treatment plans that combine lifestyle changes with medication
Provide guidance: Advise patients, healthcare professionals, and lawmakers on drug use
Evaluate clinical trials: Analyze data from clinical trials to determine how drugs work in the body
Regulate drugs: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations
Train others: Teach physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements: A medical or doctoral degree.
A state license and certification to administer drugs to humans.
A strong working knowledge of mathematics and science.
The ability to gather, analyze, and understand medical data.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
