Description: Diagnosing patients
Gathering information about a patients medical history, allergies, and lifestyle. Using specialized equipment to identify bone fractures or defects.
Treating patients
Performing surgical procedures to realign bones, repair ligaments, or replace joints. Prescribing medications and supplements, and making recommendations for diet, exercise, hygiene, and lifestyle to aid in healing.
Consulting with other medical professionals
Providing surgical assistance and consultation to general practitioners and other medical doctors.
Coordinating with other medical staff
Delegating tasks and coordinating the activities of nurses and other medical staff.

Requirements: A medical degree in orthopedics and the successful completion of a fellowship and residency.
A license and certification to practice medicine.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
A good working knowledge of the methods and equipment used in orthopedics.
