Description: An orthopedic surgeon, also known as an orthopedist, specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of injuries and diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, which includes bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons. They perform surgical and non-surgical procedures to address various conditions like fractures, joint replacements, sports injuries, and arthritis.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
4 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in orthopedic surgery.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
Certification by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and/or a subspecialty, such as sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, trauma, or pediatrics.
Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice.
Exceptional attention to detail.
