Description: Develop and evaluate programs: Plan, develop, and evaluate nursing programs, including theory and clinical programs
Teach: Teach students in classrooms and clinical settings
Conduct research: Participate in research or studies to improve nursing education
Assess students: Evaluate student performance and clinical judgment
Mentor students: Support students as they learn and develop in clinical environments
Provide guidance: Advise on healthcare policies and procedures, and the proper use of new equipment and techniques
Collaborate: Work with healthcare specialists and nursing course faculty
Train staff: Train nursing staff in healthcare facilities
Evaluate learning: Evaluate learning programs using structured frameworks
Work environment
Nurse educators work in academic settings, such as universities, or in healthcare facilities
They may work in multidisciplinary teams

Requirements: A masters or doctoral degree in nursing.
A Certified Nurse Education certification.
A Registered Nursing Licence.
A strong clinical background.
A working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design curricula.
