- Description
- They work primarily in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in hospitals. They diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as breathing disorders, infections, and birth defects. They also coordinate care and medically manage babies born prematurely, critically ill, or in need of surgery.
- Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Neonatologist or similar role
A willingness to work long hours and remain on-call for emergency situations
The ability to work under pressure and stress
Strong communication skills and patience and empathy towards patients and their families
Strong dedication and motivation for helping newborn infants
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Neonatologist
