Description: A Medical Transcriptionist transcribes voice recordings made by healthcare professionals, typically physicians, into written documents like patient histories, reports, and other medical records. They use specialized equipment and software to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of completed reports. This role also involves reviewing and editing transcriptions for accuracy and completeness, as well as maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
The position is full time Sunday - Thursday with a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements: Post-secondary training in medical transcription.
Certification as a healthcare documentation specialist would be advantageous.
2-3 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist, or similar.
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems, such as AdvancedMD and Kareo Clinical EHR.
Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute.
Experience with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software, including WebChartMD and PhraseExpander.
