Description: Conducting experiments: Setting up experiments and investigations, and handling chemicals and reagents
Preparing samples: Preparing solutions, cultures, and specimens for analysis
Analyzing samples: Using scientific instruments to analyze samples and produce data
Recording and presenting data: Recording and interpreting results, and presenting them to senior colleagues
Maintaining equipment: Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, centrifuges, and pH meters
Ensuring safety: Following safety rules and procedures, and ensuring the safe removal of waste
Keeping the lab stocked: Ensuring the lab is well-stocked and resourced, and that everything is clearly labeled
Providing technical support: Providing technical support to other laboratory technicians and scientists

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
Valid laboratory technician license.
Proven experience working as a lab technician.
Working experience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment.
Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.)
In depth knowledge of QHSE management systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices.
