Description: Responsibilities
Receive, label and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue etc.)
Design and execute laboratory testing according standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods
Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

Requirements: Assist in genome editing procedures using CRISPR/Cas9 to modify melanin-related genes, such as MC1R, in avian PGCs.Support the isolation, culture, and transfection of PGCs from both chicken and falcon embryos.Conduct routine laboratory tasks including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR amplification, gene expression analysis, and Western blotting.Assist with phenotypic screening of transgenic falcons and monitor the success of gene modifications.Help optimize methods for PGC cryopreservation and cell storage.Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental procedures and results.Perform general laboratory maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that the lab is stocked with necessary supplies.Support the preparation of experimental protocols and help train students and junior researchers in laboratory techniques.Ensure compliance with all biosafety and ethical protocols, assisting in obtaining necessary approvals for animal-based research.Assist in the preparation of scientific publications and regular project progress reports.
