Description: We are looking for a meticulous Laboratory Specialist who will be responsible for supporting our laboratory staff with the primary goal of optimizing lab procedures and succeeding in producing reliable test results.

Laboratory Specialist Responsibilities:

-Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.
-Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
-Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic.)
-Organizing and storing all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.

Requirements: A minimum of a BSc in medical diagnostics, medical technology or an equivalent with a specialist in medical microbiology;
3 Years of experience in medical microbiology in a human clinical laboratory in developing countries with at least two years’ experience in a laboratory quality management role
Knowledge and experience in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases including specific hands-on laboratory experience.
Knowledge and experience with strengthening laboratories to achieve international quality standards including against ISO 15189 and/or SLMTA/SLIPTA.
Familiarity with international biosafety regulations;
