- A Hearing Aid Technician, also sometimes called a Hearing Instrument Specialist or Hearing Aid Dispenser, assesses hearing, recommends and fits hearing aids, and provides ongoing support to clients with hearing loss. They work with patients to find the best solutions for their individual needs, provide instructions on use and maintenance, and ensure proper function of the devices.
