Description: Patient interactions: Meet with patients, assess their needs, and establish their audiometric profile
Hearing aid procedures: Take ear impressions, choose hearing aids, arrange settings, and help patients adapt to their new hearing aid
Repairing hearing aids: Repair hearing aids and maintain the repair laboratory
Administrative management: Answer phones, fill out billing forms, and schedule appointments
Education: Train clients to use hearing aids or other augmentative communication devices
Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of client information and hearing aid sales
Staying current: Read current literature, talk with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in audiology
Hearing aid technicians require precision and exact results when testing, changing tubing, making minor repairs, and taking ear mold impressions

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
Certification as a Hearing Aid Technician or similar qualification.
Experience working with hearing aids and related devices.
Strong technical skills and proficiency with hearing aid software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
