They are highly skilled specialists with a comprehensive understanding of all gastroenterological conditions and treatment options.

Gastroenterologists should demonstrate good interpersonal skills as they will be required to attend to patient needs and consult with other specialists.

Requirements: Doctorate degree, and completion of medical school
Fully complete residency program
License/Certification of medical operation issued by the state/country you practice in
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly technical and able to operate technical equipment as required
Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
Empathetic and caring in nature
Proficient with the use of EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Highly organized
