Description: provide comprehensive health care for patients of all ages. Their responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and treating illnesses
Family doctors examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order and interpret tests. They prescribe medications and treatments, and perform procedures like biopsies and vasectomies.
Counseling patients
Family doctors advise patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. They also provide counseling and support on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
Coordinating care
Family doctors navigate the health care system for patients, including coordinating specialist and hospital care. They may also supervise home care services.

Requirements: Medical degree.
Completion of a 3-year family practice residency.
Training in medical areas such as pediatrics, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, gynecology, and community medicine.
Pass an American Board of Specialties examination to acquire board certification in family medicine.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Caring, attentive nature.
Good interpersonal skills.
