Description: An ENT (ear, nose, and throat) assistant, also known as an ENT medical assistant or ENT clinic assistant, provides clinical and administrative support to otolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals in the ENT field. They perform a range of duties, including preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and maintaining medical records.

Requirements: The minimum qualifications for an ENT physician assistant include a master’s degree in a physician assistant program. After graduation, you have to obtain your physician assistant license. All US states require licensure for you to practice. The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is the organization that administers the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination. To maintain your physician’s assistant license, you must do 100 hours of continuing education every two years. Once you complete your degree and obtain your license, you can choose to pursue additional education to specialize as an ENT. Strong communication skills are also essential.
