- A biomedical technician, also known as a biomedical equipment technician (BMET), maintains, repairs, and calibrates medical equipment. They also ensure that medical staff use equipment safely and advise on equipment needs.
- Requirements
- A bachelors degree in biomedical engineering or technology, or a similar field.
A minimum of 2 years experience as a biomedical technician.
Exceptional knowledge of the structure and uses of biomedical equipment.
Solid technical skills and the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in laymans terms.
