Description: Diagnosis and Assessment: Audiologists conduct comprehensive hearing exams and assessments to diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders. They interpret test results and develop individualized treatment plans.
Hearing Aid Management: They fit, adjust, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, ensuring optimal performance for patients.
Patient Counseling: Audiologists provide counseling to patients and their families about hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies, including lip reading and the use of technology.
Aural Rehabilitation: They organize and implement aural rehabilitation programs to help patients adapt to hearing loss and improve their communication skills.
Research and Education: Audiologists stay updated on advancements in audiology and may conduct research to improve treatment methods. They also educate patients on hearing loss prevention and management strategies.

Requirements: Masters or doctoral degree in audiology.
Over 3 years experience practicing audiology.
Strong communication skills.
BLS Certification.
ASLHA Certification.
