Description: diagnose, treat, and manage hearing, balance, and ear problems. They work in the field of audiology, which is the study of hearing and balance. Audiologists responsibilities include:
Assessing: Performing examinations, interpreting test results, and identifying and diagnosing hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders
Treating: Creating treatment plans, performing routine procedures, and fitting and dispensing hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
Counseling: Advising patients and their families on communication and listening methods, such as lip reading or technology
Educating: Teaching patients how to prevent hearing loss and designing educational plans for children
Managing: Managing hearing loss prevention programs, assisting with tinnitus, and managing the removal of excess ear wax
Researching: Studying the causes and treatment of hearing and balance disorders

Requirements: Masters or doctoral degree in audiology.
Over 3 years experience practicing audiology.
Strong communication skills.
BLS Certification.
ASLHA Certification.
