- Description
- Anesthesia Technician assists Anesthesiologist by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Being an Anesthesia Technician washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program or equivalent training.
Certification as an Anesthesia Technician preferred.
Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
