Description: A plumbing engineer designs plumbing systems for private, public, or commercial buildings. They typically work on large projects with mechanical, civil, or fire protection engineers. They may be involved with designing the systems for potable water, sewer waste, stormwater drainage, and fire suppression.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate
Completion of a vocational school certificate program, associate degree, or apprenticeship preferred
Valid state plumbing license
1+ years of professional plumbing experience
Able to read technical designs and blueprints
Proficient with plumbing tools, materials, and equipment
Expert knowledge in piping and ventilation systems
Available to work on call and respond immediately to plumbing emergencies
