Description
• Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and coordinate with cost control team about the budgets that meet them.
• Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best time schedules and progress.
• Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies accordingly.
• Monitoring and tracking project progress, and writing up reports.
• Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
• Delegating tasks and ensuring team members receive feedback.
• Understanding and meeting all contract requirements.
• Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team.
• Analyzing technical drawings and providing material and man-hours estimates.
• Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets.
• Develop Project WBS (work breakdown structure) using the latest project planning and scheduling tools, e.g.Primavera.
• Provide technical assistance as subject matter experts on Construction site activities.
• Plans and provides work direction, as required, for the preparation of planning and scheduling Control Systems to provide Engineering and construction supervisors the means to evaluate and improve the efficiency of their project execution.
• Analyses Project Documents to plan the most effective execution sequence.
• Evaluates the planning and scheduling information collected from Project Management Teams or Contractors and advises Management of expectations to the plan and potential corrective action and/or impacts to the project.
• Review and monitor schedule and progress submitted by contractors during detailed design drawings, Procurement and construction.
• Discuss, coordinate and resolve long term and short-term planning and scheduling Problems with Project organizations.
• Deliver timely, accurate and sensitive project controls information that facilitates a clear understanding of the performance of the project in relation to planned performance targets.
Requirements
- Any nationality between 25 to 45 years old with a minimum of 5 years related experience preferably in Waste Management Company or contracting companies
- Knowledge in mapping, site remediation, contracts implementation and compliance
- Fluency in English and expertise in technical writing and reporting
