Planning and meeting delivery schedules
Drivers plan delivery schedules and ensure that loads are delivered on time and to the correct locations.
Following traffic laws
Drivers are legally required to follow traffic laws in the jurisdiction they are driving in.
Performing vehicle inspections
Drivers are required to perform vehicle inspections before and after a trip to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
Reporting accidents and incidents
Drivers should report any accidents or incidents immediately, no matter how small.
Recording cargo deliveries
Drivers record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Completing transport documents
Drivers complete transport documents and hand them over to customers and dispatchers.
Communicating repairs
Drivers communicate repairs to the workshop.
Checking the cooling unit
Drivers check the cooling unit and monitor temperature

Requirements: Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
