Description: Financial reporting: Prepare and publish financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements
Accounting transactions: Manage all accounting transactions, including reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Taxes: Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Financial planning: Prepare budget forecasts and recommend financial actions
Financial records: Ensure financial records are accurate and adhere to state and federal law
Legal compliance: Work with auditors to ensure legal compliance
Financial risk: Identify potential areas of risk and opportunity
Financial advice: Provide financial recommendations and advice
Entry-level accountants may also be responsible for bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and assisting with management accounts and statutory financial statements.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
More education or experience may be preferred.
Special licenses or certification may be required.
Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
Ethical behavior.
