Description: Prepare patients: Position patients for the exam and explain the procedure
Operate equipment: Set up and adjust the X-ray machine to produce the correct image
Take X-rays: Capture images of the patients body parts, such as the chest, spine, or limbs
Process images: Check the images for clarity and retake them if necessary
Record patient information: Enter patient data into the radiology information system
Maintain equipment: Clean, make minor repairs, and perform quality control checks
Protect patients: Use radiation protection measures and implement infection control procedures
Educate patients: Teach patients about the radiologic procedure and safety protocols
Support physicians: Assist physicians as needed and interpret the results of the X-rays

Requirements: Bachelors or associates degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Appropriate state licensure.
Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
Ability to move or lift patients.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A patient and compassionate disposition.
