Establishing quarantine or testing procedures: Veterinarians may establish or carry out quarantine or testing procedures to combat the spread of diseases.
Maintaining medical records: Veterinarians maintain detailed medical records for their animals.

Requirements: Doctor of veterinary medicine degree.
Appropriate state licensure.
