Description: A Neonatology Consultant is a specialized pediatrician who provides expert medical care to newborn infants, particularly those who are premature, critically ill, or have complex medical conditions. They lead the neonatal care team, manage complex cases, implement evidence-based protocols, and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives.

Requirements: Qualification Requirements for Role of Consultant Neonatologist
• Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency.
• Completion of a recognized higher professional education program.
• Certification of higher professional education recognized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD), American Board of Neonatology or CCT or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience since gaining the higher qualification or as per HAAD requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered Consultant, Board Certified Specialist, CCT or HAAD recognized equivalent in the required specialty.
