Description: responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting cars and light trucks. Their duties include:
Diagnosing problems: Using diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and their knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanics identify issues with a vehicle
Repairing and replacing parts: Mechanics repair or replace faulty parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors
Performing maintenance: Mechanics perform basic maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations
Explaining issues to clients: Mechanics explain automotive problems and repairs to clients
Keeping up with technology: Mechanics must stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology advancements
Adhering to regulations: Mechanics must comply with company and government regulations
Properly disposing of waste: Mechanics must properly dispose of used oil, radiator fluid, and worn-out parts
Generating estimates: Mechanics prepare cost and time estimates for repairs
Updating records: Mechanics update vehicle service records
Conducting inspections: Mechanics perform post-repair inspections and tests

Requirements: Proven experience as auto mechanic
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
Excellent physical condition
Knowledge on how to fix a Heavy trucks like Pump Truck & Mixer Trucks
High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
