Description: Interpreting the order for the test to determine what body parts need imaging
Explaining the test to patients and positioning them to make the test possible
Setting the controls on X-ray equipment in preparation for imaging
Checking X-ray images and retaking them as needed to ensure clarity
Cleaning and performing routine maintenance tasks to keep X-ray equipment operating smoothly
Sending X-ray images to other medical providers for reading
Inventorying and stocking films and radiologic supplies
Updating patient records with pertinent information

Requirements: Bachelors or associates degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Appropriate state licensure.
Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
Ability to move or lift patients.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A patient and compassionate disposition.
