Performing procedures: Veterinarians perform reproductive surgeries like spay and neuter procedures and humane euthanasia when the time comes.
Collecting samples: Veterinarians collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis.
Operating equipment: Veterinarians operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines, ultrasound equipment, and other diagnostic equipment.
Maintaining records: Veterinarians maintain medical records of animals.
Reporting diseases: Veterinarians report diseases to public health officials

Requirements: Doctor of veterinary medicine degree.
