Description: Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

Requirements: EDUCATION:

BSc in Speech-language pathology/ Speech and language therapy /Speech pathology /Speech therapy/Speech (minimum 3 years course duration)

OR

BSc in Communication or Psychology or Linguistics & Master’s program in speech language pathology from an accredited educational institution, college or university

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years clinical experience post qualification. Experience must include NEURO REHAB experience in a hospital or rehab setting.

Note: Community service and working in school settings will not be considered.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

Must be eligible for the DOH - Department of Health license Abu-Dhabi or transferable UAE license as an Speech Therapist.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.
